Gala Design

YoungArts has two significant annual fundraisers, one in Miami and one in New York, which require designing and producing a range of cohesive print and digital assets, such as printed and digital invitations, signage, and program books, in a very short period of time.

The look and theme changes from gala to gala and from year to year. The design requires close collaboration with the advancement department and Gala Chairs.

2023 Miami Gala

To incorporate our new brand identity into our Gala creative, we utilized our typography and brackets as design elements, giving it a fresh and festive look. We also changed the color scheme and incorporated the brackets in different shapes and transparencies to add depth and visual interest.

2020 Miami Gala

The advancement team’s creative brief was to incorporate a tropical theme while still communicating the organization’s mission. The solution was to weave images of artists and artwork from various disciplines into dense tropical foliage.

2019 New York Gala

To give a sense of our award winners’ exceptional talent, we included a limited edition print by photographer Lori Hepner, who was herself a recipient of a YoungArts award. The invitation was designed with a die-cut that provided a preview of the artwork.
